The Great Earthen War was perhaps the biggest planetary war Earth ever saw, comparable to World War I and World War II in the Wake. It was fought between the Allied forces, and the Arkan forces.
History of the War[]
In 1074 BBY, Ameriantan superpowers Hyrule and Middle Earth went to war for territory. This would be the catalyst for The Great Earthen War to start in 1073 BBY after Qeios offered Middle Earth their aid. In order to try to prevent Qeian reinforcements, Hyrule both successfully conquered Arcath through Itomori and Utopia to put a wedge between Middle Earth and Qeios, but also requested aid from the Kingdom of Alfheim, who was a known enemy of Qeios. Unfortunately, due to an ancient magical spell, the Fairies of Alfheim could not enter Qeios. And so, they requested the aid of their neighbours in Arendelle, Volskaya, Telmar and Narnia. The only nation to refuse them was Narnia, who had a rivalry with Telmar and ended up allying with Qeios to keep Telmar at bay.
The remainder of the main Europian nations, with the exception of Gorgonroth, joined forces with Qeios quickly after to aid the ancient Empire.
Meanwhile, back in Amerianta, Hyrule had gained support from Avalon and Libertice, as well as Luxania and Stillport to help them with Europia. Middle Earth on the other hand had gained support from Distopia, the Enchanted Forest, Oz, Krullant, Seintsuro and Saxton.

As the War spread East, the nations of Azreia soon chose their sides, as did a majority of Azela with the exceptions of Hanamura, due to the nation isolating themselves a hundred years earlier, and Medoua, who were still having a civil war between the Nekos of the East and Kitsunes of the West.
With Kulum vastly outnumbered and cornered by enemies from Palam, Mukash and Minseros, they reached out to Xiangchong to join the Allies and help their struggling efforts. Kharia, Valencia and Caldoan also agreed to provide aid to the weakened nation. However, Xiangchong decided to venture down to the biggest nation-continent on Earth; Tangguan. Their goal was to use Tangguan's northern territory against Minseros, and potentially launch an attack on East Medoua, while using Penwau to fight Hyrule from the west. Tangguan on the other hand were not pleased with any of this, and accepted aid from Hyrule to push Xiangchong, Kharia and Valencia back. But not before they took over Penwau.
The war would be fought until 1040 BBY, a year after Naval Warfare became impossible due to the Avalonian Battleship A.W.S. Ayrshire being sunk during one of many skirmishes near the shores of Demland. The Ayrshire unfortunately happened to land on the head of a sleeping Ocean Demon when it sank to the sea floor, awakening the ancient beast who then proceeded to let out a terrifying call that could be heard even from the Southern shores of Qeios, and the Eastern shores of Middle Earth. This call subsequently awakened all the Ocean Demons around the world, who had been in a deep slumber since 59,000 BBY. And they were very angry.
With having lost all Naval capabilities, and because the air-fairing technology of the time was unable to fill in for the role as Earth was still 8 years away from being discovered by the rest of the Galaxy and gaining space-fairing technology, a majority of the nations agreed to come to a peaceful resolution. Their war had awoken an ancient presence on their planet, one they wouldn't be able to deal with for centuries to come. The fighting had to come to an end, and a war on this scale would have to be prevented in the future.
The next time Earth became caught in a planetary war of similar scale was during the Clone Wars in 22 BBY-19 BBY, but that war would be fought with much more advanced technology.

- Gorgonroth - Remained neutral throughout the war, neither side wanting to deal with the Goblins.
- Black Desert - An inhospitable place, while used by Arkan forces for travel, no strategic value was held here.
- Hanamura - Isolated from the rest of the world until 1032 BBY.
- West Medoua - Caught in a war with East Medoua, but allowed Allied nations to use the south-west of their territory for strategic purposes.
- East Medoua - Caught in a war with West Medoua, no interest in aiding either side. And while both factions made attempts at claiming their southern islands, the Nekos defended their homes.
- Demland - Contested constantly throughout the war as it was an extremely important strategic point in the Atlantic Ocean. Was used by both sides at different times.
- Land of the Lost - Not worth anything due to its nature.
- Darklands - Left untouched for obvious reasons.
